Create a Better Day by Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving is just around the corner.  Isn’t it interesting that people have stepped forward to create such a day, a day in which we focus on giving thanks?  What were we giving thanks for, on that certain day?  Let’s take that perspective for a moment, from the eyes of someone at that first Thanksgiving dinner, and share our thoughts and intent to create a better day, both now and moving forward.

  • I am grateful that there are those who will step forward to support another, someone they do not even know, with gentle hospitality.
  • I am thankful for the resources available all around me, and strive to create my own opportunities through my thoughts, heart-felt faith, and willingness to take those steps needed for my own success.
  • I am appreciative in the ability each of us has to create a better day, and to step beyond our own footprints.
  • I treasure the connections I am able to create with others.  Some are my mentors, others my support.  Many are my friends, and even those who do not or will not be known as my friend have shared with me a chance to open a piece of my world with another.
  • Above all, I am grateful for my God given free-will, the abilities of thought, memory, learning, understanding, wisdom, and the right to make my own choices that will help create a better day.

Create a Better Day is in its infancy, but it will grow.  Become a part of the “dream-come-true” vision, for in every breath and every step we take we have the chance to create a better day.  More news to follow!
