How often do we give thought to our own thoughts? Our conscious mind is able to process a small percentage of the data flowing in from all sources. Externally our eyes pick up images but only a fraction is “noticed”. We are selective with our conscious hearing as well. There isn’t the brain power to consciously focus on ever little detail, nor is there a need to give attention to so much.
Thoughtful Thinking – Inside and Out
In addition to the experiences we also have a vast amount of information passed around internally. Our nerves pick up the most subtle of details. Our subconscious mind processes everything, everyday, and responds from its storehouse of information. In the time it takes to consciously think one thought there could be thousands flowing through the unconscious mind.
Giving Thought to Our Thoughts
How much thought do we give to our thoughts? Most of the time our attention is elsewhere. Still those thoughts influence us, and set the vibration we live within. What does this mean? Think of depression, it’s a slower vibration than joy. Which would you choose? We do choose, not so much by our conscious mind, but through that flow of thoughts that we process ever day.
