This posting is a continuation of the series: “Thoughtful Thoughts”. Reread Thoughtful Thinking – Giving Thought to “Thought”

Setting Our Own “Redirects”

It is possible to redirect our mind, even the subconscious and unconscious parts, through our conscious actions. The mind is an amazing thing – it is the bridge between our body and our thoughts. The foods we eat affect the energy of our brain, so does our blood flow and toxicity levels. We do give a little thought to the foods we eat, but how often do we choose based on desire rather than choosing what we know is good for us?

Where does our directive come from, the voice of reason, so to speak? Does it come from our physical body, the desires, hungers and emotions? Is our brain the driving force, or is our consciousness and our higher spirit-self steering us in the right direction?

Subtle Signals

Our inner dialog is typically very subtle, and needs both space and silence to be heard. Those blaring-loud messages, those are not you, and they do not work in your better interest. It’s time to turn the tables and restore our internal harmony. How do we go about taking steps that help us create a better day and restoring ourselves to live as intended?

Thoughtful Thinking – Create Livable Change

One of the biggest complaints people make is “I don’t have the energy”. You do have the energy, it’s simply misdirected into worry, pain, and relationships that take more than you have to give. Before we turn to the world around us and throw blame, which is not the solution, understand that inner relationships hold the greatest control over our lives.

Fine – Tuning Our Inner Voice

Those inner relationships can be emotional, mental, spiritual, or physical and combinations of all of the above. The best way to get the energy we <del>need</del> desire is by creating a more symbiotic and harmonious relationship by facing our inner conflicts and gently finding resolutions.

How often do we give thought to our own thoughts? Our conscious mind is able to process a small percentage of the data flowing in from all sources. Externally our eyes pick up images but only a fraction is “noticed”. We are selective with our conscious hearing as well. There isn’t the brain power to consciously focus on ever little detail, nor is there a need to give attention to so much.

Thoughtful Thinking – Inside and Out

In addition to the experiences we also have a vast amount of information passed around internally. Our nerves pick up the most subtle of details. Our subconscious mind processes everything, everyday, and responds from its storehouse of information. In the time it takes to consciously think one thought there could be thousands flowing through the unconscious mind.

Giving Thought to Our Thoughts

How much thought do we give to our thoughts? Most of the time our attention is elsewhere. Still those thoughts influence us, and set the vibration we live within. What does this mean? Think of depression, it’s a slower vibration than joy. Which would you choose? We do choose, not so much by our conscious mind, but through that flow of thoughts that we process ever day.

Tomorrow we’ll delve into “Thoughtful Redirects”

Most of us are still asleep during the twilight and dawning of the day. During this time, even when it is still what would be considered night there is activity. The sound of the birds chattering amongst themselves tells a story.

They prepare for another day, beginning with movement within their safe haven of nest or branch so that they are ready at first light. During this part of the day there is a feeling of stillness, and without the light to show us the world around us there is a greater sense of individuality. During the daylight hours the world become so much more interactive, and the relationship and responsibility skills take charge.

We visionaries direct so much of our attention on where we are going and the days to come. What about today? What quality do we bring into our awakening, and our preparation for the interactive part of the day? The world becomes our focus soon enough, but those twilight transitionary times are for self to reawaken and ready ourselves for what comes next.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Isn’t it interesting that people have stepped forward to create such a day, a day in which we focus on giving thanks? What were we giving thanks for, on that certain day? Let’s take that perspective for a moment, from the eyes of someone at that first Thanksgiving dinner, and share our thoughts and intent to create a better day, both now and moving forward.

I am grateful that there are those who will step forward to support another, someone they do not even know, with gentle hospitality.

I am thankful for the resources available all around me, and strive to create my own opportunities through my thoughts, heart-felt faith, and willingness to take those steps needed for my own success.

I am appreciative in the ability each of us has to create a better day, and to step beyond our own footprints.

I treasure the connections I am able to create with others. Some are my mentors, others my support. Many are my friends, and even those who do not or will not be known as my friend have shared with me a chance to open a piece of my world with another.

Above all, I am grateful for my God given free-will, the abilities of thought, memory, learning, understanding, wisdom, and the right to make my own choices that will help create a better day.

Create a Better Day is in its infancy, but it will grow. Become a part of the “dream-come-true” vision, for in every breath and every step we take we have the chance to create a better day. More news to follow!

How do we find divine presence in our day to day lives? When we look around we see the complications of the world, the struggles, disconnects, discrepancies and blatant lies. It’s easy to forget the beautiful things: the sparkle in someone’s eyes, a kind word, a thoughtful action. Beautiful things, those parts of our world that hold truth, the living thoughts and actions, those things are like rays of light that absorb instantaneously into our world. The rest of it? It all serves a purpose. We will always have opportunity to follow one belief or another. We are always open to take the high road or the low. Is any one path, direction, or thought of any greater value than another?

Divine presence in our day to day life – what does that mean? Is it a feeling of a higher presence that surrounds us, guiding us and telling us what to do next? Is it a way of thinking, that if only we could hold our thoughts in a pure, supporting manner then maybe the world would be a better place, yes let’s all pray that tomorrow will be a better day. Is divine presence something we seek out in a certain place, at a certain time?

All of The Above

You know those quizes with multiple choices, and the times that last option is “all of the above”. Isn’t that really the best answer to the question, “where do we find divine presence in our day to day lives”? It is around us, in us, and radiates through us so freely. Divine presence is indeed radiant, able to pass through even the stickiest moments we create for ourselves, though sometimes its difficult to see that radiant light through all our distractions. Still it is there, the divine presence that is us and lives within us.

“All of the above” – what a wonderful way to picture the divine presence in our day to day lives, and maybe if we viewed our world through those eyes the world would start living up to that vision.

Create a Better Day

Our lives are a mixture of insights and new experiences, realizations and releases. We know both sides: the feeling of being individual and unique, and the feeling of being a part of a bigger picture. Neither side is more valid or valued than the other, they actually compliment one another.

How do we create a better day? By finding that balance between our higher knowing and direction, and integrating that aspect into our moment-to-moment steps as we express ourselves as creative, capable individuals.

We do not always feel that way, creative and capable. That feeling is a part of the journey, and the questions we create and feelings we experience could be seen as the best part of living. Questions lead to answers, completing the circuit that flows from the origin or creator into the creation and then back again through the wisdom gained from tangible results.

How do we create a better day?

There are times when our creations fall out of alignment with our growth. An easy way to look at this idea is a child outgrowing a pair of shoes. Much as you may love what you have been, how much you were able to do in those shoes, eventually you may reach a point when the shoes no longer fit. When we transcribe that idea to our life there are many choices we can make when we reach that place: we stay where we are, with our beloved shoes, but feel that ever-growing discomfort; we move on to another “pair of shoes”, leaving our past behind; or, last but not least, we allow the shoes to grow with us.

The Bigger Picture

There is another side. We are here in this world with the ability to string together those moments into a lifetime. What an amazing gift! When we have the bigger picture we can look at that lifetime of experience and see the dedication we have to what we believe in, or at least see the dynamics of trial and error!

We also have the feeling of oneness, the connectivity of the spirit realm with Divine presence. Some of us feel this often, others feel no part of it. This is this divine plan at work – that we have a full spectrum of perceptions and viewpoints, and so much to learn about no matter where we stand.

Living with Balance

There must be some reason we have consciousness on so many levels. We have have that gut level feeling and emotional drive, the passion and purpose of the heart, the calculated thoughts of the mind, and the vision of the soul all at the very same time. How well do we practice those many levels? We don’t always eat a well-balanced diet, and we don’t always live with a balanced perspective on life!

Living in this world is absolutely the most amazing experience. We have benefit of a flexible, moldable array of opposites to work with, and as we all know, there are as many ways to live a life as there are people on this planet!

Two of the global realities we deal with in any lifetime is the opposites of “bigger picture” and “moment-to-moment”.

Moment-to-Moment

We’ve all heard the expression,”Don’t sweat the little stuff”, but we do. There’s no good or bad: just as much as we can find ourselves trapped in our thoughts and beliefs we also have the opportunity to delve deeply into the amazing world we live in. We are able to soul search, explore what is and expand it into something new, discover abilities we never new existed. Sweating the little stuff, what a gift!

We have the ability to pick apart an experience into a million little pieces, and that too can be a blessing or a curse. Our mind is designed to understand what we have to deal with, and the only way to know what to do is to know, intimately, the details. Our mental power is strong, and keeps us alive.

Here’s another aspect of the moment-to-moment that is often overlooked: we participate in life. That means we gain experiences, exchange communications, share our lives, work and play. Imagine your consciousness and energies like coins in your pocket – how much do you give away, and how much of other peoples coins do you carry?

As we go through life we can easily fragment ourselves, whether through an unpleasant experience or through our giving to others. What happens when we continue to live in a fragmented viewpoint? How many times do we repeat the same thing over and over? What viewpoint do we have of our own development and gaining of wisdom, let alone the wisdom we brought into this world on day one?

Next we move on to the Bigger Picture
